Seaside
Down by the seaside, the air is thick and warm, cut by a soft breeze.
I dig my toes into the sand and gaze upon the powder blue horizon.
Bright white puffy clouds morph into dragons and castles in the sky.
The waves roll in, crashing against the shore, spreading out and reaching with foamy fingers gently caressing my ankles.
Their saltiness soothes and stings my skin.
Seaweed floats like beautiful mermaid hair as the sun sparkles across the water like a thousand glittering diamonds.
Sand crabs awkwardly scuttle about and share sideways glances.
Gulls glide overhead while sandpipers run along the shore, dodging waves and scouring for tasty morsels beneath the sand.
Empty shells decorate the beach like a mosaic.
The heat from the sun warms and burns my skin, while the sound of the water, the wind, and people laughing soothes my soul.
